EKco Whitecaps FC 1981 - 2010

The club was formed in 1981 meaning that we have had over 29 years in local football. Over the years we are very pleased to have had a degree of success with the 1980's and the 1990's being the highlight of our short history. The "Role Call" of past players who have worn our colours is very impressive and "some" are listed below

Mickey Munroe - Great Wakering
Iain o'Connell - Southend/Dover/Margate
Spencer Prior - Southend/Norwich/Derby/Leicester/Man City/Cardiff City
Danny Scopes - Great Wakering
Ross Taylor - Arsenal/Heybridge Swifts
There are of course many more and their contribution to the Ekco club has been much appreciated. Over the years there have been many changes to the club, when it was first formed it was only for boys, then we formed a girls team, then a senior team. Hence the change from Ekco Whitecaps BFC to Ekco Whitecaps Football Club. This should mean we will be serving the local community in sport for a long time in the forseeable future.
